HKIAC Road Show - New Rules and Recent Practice - Hong Kong | London | Frankfurt | New York
Guest Speaker - Timothy Nelson, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom
The choice of governing law in a contract often is not controversial at the deal stage, but once a dispute ends up in arbitration, it assumes potentially critical importance. The presentation will address some of the practical issues in choosing between English law and New York law – told from the perspective of a lawyer/advocate who has practiced in both systems – as well as some other frequently-used candidates for governing law.
