The Mediation Ordinance (Cap. 620) applies if mediation is conducted wholly or partly in Hong Kong and if agreement to mediate provides that Ordinance or law of Hong Kong is to apply to the mediation. The Mediation Ordinance provides a legislative framework for conducting mediation without affecting the process in order to encourage dispute resolution by mediation and ensure confidentiality.
