Structure

HKIAC is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. An organisational chart is set out below. HKIAC is governed by its Council which is composed of leading businesspeople and professionals from all around the world who possess a wide variety of skills and experience. HKIAC also has an International Advisory Board to provide guidance and advice to HKIAC on a policy level.

An Executive Committee serves as the principal body directing the activities of HKIAC. Three standing committees operate under the auspices of the Executive Committee, being the Proceedings, Appointments, and the Finance and Administration Committees.  These committees deal with matters concerning the business operations of HKIAC as well as the functions entrusted to HKIAC under its arbitration rules and in accordance with its role as appointing authority under the Hong Kong Arbitration Ordinance (Cap 609).

The HKIAC Secretariat, lead by the Secretary-General, manages HKIAC’s day to day dispute resolution activities.
