The Permanent Court of Arbitration held its first hearing at the HKIAC last week. The HKIAC provided its facilities for the hearing which was heard by a panel consisting of prominent figures in the industry, including Neil Kaplan CBE QC SBS, Professor Campbell McLachlan and Professor John Gotanda.
This was a great start to our collaboration efforts with the PCA under the 2010 cooperation agreement, which permits the PCA and HKIAC to hold hearings and meetings at one another’s premises. With a significant growth in cases involving one or more Asian parties, the HKIAC looks forward to supporting the PCA’s important work in Asia.
