HKIAC brought its arbitration clause negotiation workshop to China for the first time on 20 September 2016. The workshop took place at Grand Central Hotel in Shanghai and was attended by over 100 practitioners and in-house counsel.
The mock negotiation was conducted between a Chinese-owned BVI entity and a Singaporean-owned Indonesian company, featuring John Liu (AllBright Law Offices), Xin Liu (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer), Vincent Mu (Fangda Partners) and Lei Shi (Clifford Chance) as the negotiators. Friven Yeoh of O’Melveny & Myers was the commentator.
