Arbitration Clause Negotiation Workshop

HKIAC held its Arbitration Clause Negotiation Workshop in Jakarta on 12 December. 

The negotiators were Sheila Ahuja (Allen & Overy), John Choong (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer), Sean Hardy (Pinsent Masons), Kim Rooney (Gilt Chambers), Gitta Satryani (Herbert Smith Freehills), Alfred Wu (Norton Rose Fulbright). 

The workshop featured a real-time negotiation over arbitration clauses to be included in agreements for cross-border transation involving Chinese and Indonesian parties of the type likely to arise out of the Belt and Road Initiative. 65 members of the Indonesian legal and business community attended this event.
